We did it!

Hi folks,

Well we did it. We bought a 2009 Suzuki DL650 ABS VStrom. Gotta say, I really like this bike so far. It isn't exactly a "scare the crap out of you" fast bike, but it handles really nice, and is comfortable to ride too.
We already ordered a bunch of add-on's such as engine protectors, sliders, Hyper-Lites, protective film, wheel stripes, and even an expansion fuse box for adding electronic gadgets. Here are the places I've purchased from in case you're wondering where to start shopping for those kinds of things:

Another Motorcycle???

Well it looks like we'll be adding another motorcycle to the garage. Actually, we have a 2007 Honda Rebel we just bought yesterday, but alas, it is too small for our new rider. We are debating all of the different choices out there and have narrowed it down to a few:

Been looking at training classes for concealed carry. I was directed to check out this site:
http://www.frontsight.com/ I've been told this is one of the best out there. They are running a special right now that licenses you in 30 states. Worth a look if you are interested.

Lanyards!

I found some neat videos on YouTube on how to tie decorative knots and decided to make some lanyards for all my gadgets. A guy that goes by "Stormdrane" did the videos and has a blog with a lot of his creations. I bought some 550 paracord (the stuff the military uses for parachutes and other rigging), some split-rings for attaching, and some neat little skull beads to add some flair to the lanyards. I'll post any pictures when I get some of them done.

Found Cool Shiny Objects!

Found this Blog on Google Reader: http://atwoodknives.blogspot.com/. This guy makes some very cool and practical pocket tools. I love it when people put their creativity to use and share with the rest of us. I just hope I am lucky enough to win a lottery to be able to purchase. Speaking of shiny objects and tools, I was just told today that I can put a list together of tools that I want for our next project! I get to do some serious tool shopping...hehehe.
